This week, Israeli mills' rebar offers to their local market are at $805-815/mt ex-works, excluding 16 percent VAT, on actual weight basis, for advance payments. In the meantime, it is also reported that rebar prices in some transactions between traders may be lower than this range.
While rebar demand in the Israeli domestic market has remained at good levels, market players are in a hurry to conclude their purchases ahead of the Passover holiday during the second week of April. Local buyers are evaluating rebar offers as they seek to conclude new deals.
In the meantime, Turkish rebar offers to Israel are at $700-715/mt CFR for May shipment, though no transaction has been concluded at this price range so far.
