Nucor and SDI raise beam prices

Nucor and Steel Dynamics, Inc. sent letters to customers this week indicating a price increase of $1.50 cwt. ($30/nt or $33/mt) for wide flange and standard beam products. Nucor’s price increase will go into effect for orders as of Monday, February 25, while SDI’s increase will go into effect with orders as of Friday, February 22.

The new list price for SteelOrbis’ benchmark wide flange beam product (W10x10, 49-112mm) will be $43.25 cwt. ($865/nt or $954/mt) ex-mill as of the effective date.
