Nucor and Gerdau boost wire rod prices
In a letter to customers earlier this week, Nucor and Gerdau Long Steel North America both announced transaction price increases for wire rod products by $20/nt ($1.00 cwt. or $22/mt), effective with shipments as of May 1, 2014.
