In the past four weeks, the domestic price of Mexican rebar have increased US$15/mt to reach US$645/mt ex-mill.

There is finally optimism in rebar’s end-use markets, sources tell SteelOrbis, as the country’s construction sector grew 4.1 percent last quarter, according to official reports.

Companies expect the recovery of the construction industry in Mexico to continue next year, anchored not only in a gradual rise in infrastructure but also in the residential sector, which will result in operational improvements in 2015.
