In the past four weeks, the domestic price of Mexican rebar has increased US$30/mt to reach US$675/mt ex-mill.

It seems that the long steel segment has finally energized, according to sources. The housing sector rebounded in October, when the number of registered households in the Register of Housing was at 46,858 units, its highest level the last 35 months.

2015 will mark the beginning of a new cycle of expansion, where the emergence of fractioning companies will enable the development of intra-urban land for housing, offices and shopping malls.

"We are about to enter a cycle housing boom, where it is possible to do a recreation of a model of growth and wealth creation as seen in the 40s and 50s," said construction sources.
