Over the past week, Turkish merchant bar producers have mostly increased their local prices by TRY 200-300/mt ($3-5/mt) amid higher local billet prices, while remaining stable on Turkish lira basis in the Iskenderun region with a fall of only $3/mt on US dollar basis, amid the ongoing currency fluctuations. One Iskenderun-based mill has issued its equal angle price at TRY 23,500/mt ($602/mt) ex-works today, May 27.
Most merchant bar sellers are offering either for deliveries in late June or from stocks, depending on the size.
