Over the past week, Turkish merchant bar producers’ prices have remained unchanged in the local currency in the Denizli and Izmir regions, with minor changes on US dollar basis. Moreover, the merchant bar prices in the Karabuk region has increased only TRY 50/mt on the lower end in order to offset currency fluctuations. One Iskenderun-based mill has issued its equal angle price at TRY 23,800/mt ($604/mt) ex-works today, June 17. The mill has increased its merchant bar prices by TRY 300/mt ($6/mt) week on week.
Most merchant bar sellers are offering either for deliveries in July or from stocks, depending on the size.
