Local and import rebar prices in Lebanon

According to market sources, rebar prices in the local Lebanese market are currently standing at $640/mt ex-works. On the import side, Turkish and Chinese rebar offers for Lebanon have gained $5/mt since last week and are now standing at $585/mt FOB and $545/mt FOB respectively.
 
Market sources state that an ex-China deal for 12,000 mt of rebar has been concluded recently in the Lebanese domestic market at $538/mt CFR, while local traders, who want to fill their stocks, are interested in Chinese offers and may also conclude some deals form Europe and Turkey for small volumes.
