Import billet offers and sales to Taiwan

SteelOrbis has been informed that a sale of 12,000 mt of vanadium-added billet from Japan to Taiwan has been concluded at $562-563/mt, for June shipment.

Meanwhile, Chinese Q235 grade billet offers to Taiwan are at $575/mt CFR, though this level is considered to be very high. Additionally, Russian 5SP billet offers to the same destination are at $558-561/mt CFR, while Iranian 5SP/PS grade billet offers to the market in question are at $550-552/mt CFR. Market sources state that Taiwanese buyers have not yet given firm bids to these offers.
