It is observed that demand for import billet exists in North Africa and Yemen but buyers, who consider current prices levels to be on high side, are giving significantly lower firm bids to suppliers.

Ex-CIS billet export offers are now at $457-465/mt FOB, while Turkish mills’ billet export offers are in the range of $460-465/mt FOB. On the other hand, SteelOrbis has been informed that firm bids by buyers in the region are at $440-450/mt FOB.
