Ex-CIS billet sale and offers to Egypt

SteelOrbis has been informed that an ex-CIS sale to Egypt was concluded last week for 15,000 mt of billet at $428/mt FOB, for August shipment.

Additionally, it is heard that ex-CIS sales for more than 50,000 mt of billet have been concluded over the past three days at $448-452/mt CFR Egyptian ports, mostly from traders’ positions. SteelOrbis has also been informed that some CIS-based traders are giving offers to Egypt at around $420/mt FOB for new bookings.
