Ex-CIS billet prices remain unchanged

It is observed that buyers in Turkey and the Middle East region - CIS-based billet suppliers' main export markets - have slowed down their purchases with the influence of Ramadan, causing demand for ex-CIS billet in these markets to decline compared to previous weeks. Meanwhile, ex-CIS billet export prices have remained unchanged during the past week with the support of the sideways movement of scrap prices and are still at $390-410/mt FOB.

Additionally, ex-CIS billet offers to Turkey and Egypt are still standing at $410-430/mt CFR and $410-415/mt CFR, respectively. On the other hand, buyers in Turkey and Egypt are continuing their price inquiries for billet from the CIS region, though they mostly prefer to maintain a wait-and-see stance.
