Emsteel, the United Arab Emirates’ leading steel manufacturer, has announced that it will keep its rebar prices for February production unchanged, extending the period of price stability seen in recent months. The company’s decision comes amid a domestic market environment characterized by steady demand and broadly balanced supply conditions, which have continued to support existing price levels. According to market assessments, rebar consumption in the UAE has remained at healthy levels, estimated at around 550,000 mt, broadly consistent with recent periods. This stable demand backdrop has reduced pressure for price adjustments and has allowed Emsteel to maintain its current pricing strategy without revision for another month.
Accordingly, for February output, Emsteel has retained its rebar prices for 12-32 mm specifications at $720/mt (AED 2,644/mt) ex-works, matching the levels recorded in January. In addition, prices have been maintained at $722/mt (AED 2,651/mt) CPT Abu Dhabi and $724/mt (AED 2,658/mt) CPT Dubai, Sharjah, and the Northern Emirates, based on 90-day letter of credit payment terms.
Meanwhile, other rebar producers in the UAE have not yet announced their February prices. However, as in previous months, they are expected to set their prices broadly in line with Emsteel, whose pricing is widely regarded as the main benchmark for the domestic rebar market.
