Having moved down for approximately two weeks as of September 18, domestic billet prices in Iran have improved slightly during the past weekend. Despite the increases in question, domestic billet prices in Iran have moved down by an average of $35/mt compared to the price levels on September 18 to $435-445/mt ex-works. Market sources report that billet inventories in Iran are at very low levels, and so billet purchases are expected to accelerate in the coming period.
