According to market sources, billet prices in the Italian domestic market have been stable since the end of December in the range of €300-305/mt ($326-332/mt) ex-works, despite the decrease seen in scrap prices. In the meantime, Chinese billet offers to Italy are currently standing at $270-275/mt CIF.
