Demand remains slack in Bulgarian rebar market

SteelOrbis has heard that rebar offers in the local Bulgarian market have declined by BGN 20-30/mt ($12-18/mt) since the end of January and are currently at BGN 850/mt ($497/mt) delivered to customer. Meanwhile, demand is still very slack due to cold weather conditions in the country and the weakening trend in the global market.

On the other hand, market sources state that not many import rebar offers have been heard in the Bulgarian market lately. At the same time, Bulgarian buyers are not inclined to conclude fresh transactions or make inquiries amid the ongoing downtrends in the global market.
