CMC, SDI and Gerdau raise rebar prices

In a letter to customers this week, Commercial Metals Company, Steel Dynamics, Inc. and Gerdau Long Steel North America have announced they will raise rebar transaction prices by $1.00 cwt. ($20/nt or $22/mt), effective immediately.

Nucor has not yet responded with their own increase. Before this latest announcement, US domestic rebar prices ranged from $40.50-$41.50 cwt. ($810-$830/nt or $893-$915/mt) ex-mill.
