The reference price for Brazilian rebar exports is currently $770/mt, FOB conditions for the CA-50 grade, for sales to South American countries, against $800/mt two weeks ago.
The decline reflects additional domestic production, generating more material available for exports, with prices now more in line with international prices of the product.
In the Brazilian domestic market, rebar is offered by producers in medium to large volumes at BRL 6,517/mt ($1,220/mt), against BRL 6,838/mt ($1,305/mt) two weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI, for the supply in the country’s southeast and south regions. A second source mentioned offers at BRL 6,700/mt, under the same conditions.
