Xiangtan Steel’s plate prices remain stable

Hunan Province-based Chinese steelmaker Xiangtan Iron and Steel Group has published its new price list for steel plate products, effective from March 16, 2010.

The base price of common carbon plate has remained unchanged, with the ex-mill price of 14-25 mm plate continuing to stand at RMB 4,900/mt ($718/mt).

The base price of low alloy steel plates has also remained stable. As a result, 14-25 mm low alloy steel plate is still priced at RMB 5,050/mt ($740/mt) ex-mill.

All the above prices include 17 percent VAT.
