Over the past two weeks, demand in the UAE hot rolled coil (HRC) market has remained weak. Market sources state that in particular demand from end-users for HRC has started to slow down ahead of Ramadan, while traders are unwilling to carry large stocks during Ramadan. On the other hand, Chinese HRC offers to the UAE market have declined by $5/mt during the past two weeks to $390-410/mt CFR.
