In the Bulgarian flat steel market, traders are trying to reduce their inventory levels, while pipe producers continue to make purchases, though not of large tonages.

It is heard in the market that Bulgarian producer Stomana is abstaining from giving offers, since it plans to start overhauling works in August. Stomana's most recent 8-25 mm HRP offers to the Bulgarian domestic market were standing at the price level of €600/mt ($935/mt) CPT Bulgaria.

Serbian producer US Steel has not attracted much demand with its offers to the Bulgarian market due to high price levels. It is also heard from the market that US Steel will start overhauling works in August and is abstaining from giving offers.

Meanwhile, offers for Ukrainian mill Ilyich's August production HRC given by traders to Bulgaria are standing at the level of $525/mt FOB, while Turkish producer Tosyalı's offers for HRC of 3 mm and above thickness to the same market are at $605/mt CFR for August shipment.
