The reference export price for Brazilian slabs stands at $458/mt on an FOB basis for basic commercial grades. This figure is unchanged from the previous week, in line with recent transactions recorded, and within the $455/mt to $460/mt range, according to industry sources.

Since mid-July, the broader pricing window has stayed between $455/mt and $470/mt.

Industry analysts anticipate a modest increase in the reference price in the coming weeks, driven by expectations related to discussions between US and Brazilian authorities regarding tariffs imposed by the US on imports of Brazilian products.

Brazil's slab export volume in October is projected to be consistent with September’s total of 467,800 mt.
