Quiet activity in Chinese domestic CRC market

During the week ending January 27, average cold rolled prices in the Chinese domestic market have moved on a stable trend, while transaction activity in the overall market has been at low levels. Average cold rolled coil (CRC) prices in the local Chinese market are presented in the following table.

During the given week, with the approach of the Chinese New Year holiday (February 8-14), some end-users have left the market early to go on holiday, resulting in low activity in the market, while traders have mostly kept their prices stable. In the coming week, most traders are expected to leave the market ahead of the holiday. It is thought that CRC prices in the Chinese domestic market will likely move on a stable trend in the coming week.
