Price of imported CRC increases again in Brazil

The last offer of CRC received from China by Brazilian importers was priced at $605/mt, CFR conditions for shipment to a port in the south or southeastern coast of Brazil, with the SAE 1008/SPCC grade as reference, against $596/mt CFR four weeks ago.

In December, Brazil imported 2,700 mt of CRC, against 4,800 mt in November. The main origins were South Korea (1,500 mt at $704/mt), China (600 mt at $613/mt) and Sweden (500 mt at $759/mt), all FOB conditions, while a small volume was imported from Japan.

Meanwhile, Brazil exported in December 1,500 mt of CRC, against 15,000 mt in in November. The volume was almost entirely shipped by Usiminas to South American countries, in average at $665/mt, FOB conditions. Small volumes were exported by CSN and ArcelorMittal, also destined to South American countries.
