Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC of the basic commercial grades for export in a range of $465/mt to $475/mt, FOB conditions, against a price level close to $480/mt two weeks ago, a local exporter told SteelOrbis.

With price deals probably closed in March, ArcelorMittal Tubarao exported slab in May at $499/mt, CSN at $534/mt and Usiminas at $756/mt, all FOB conditions.

Preliminary figures of the country’s customs authorities point to a small increase in the volume of HRC exported in June, as compared with the 124,000 mt exported in May.
