While the demand has remained at moderate levels in the steel plate market in Turkey, suppliers have chosen to follow different price policies depending on their allocations and trend evaluations.

The local producer Erdemir has started selling September production plate and has increased its prices by $20-30/mt over the past week to $800-850/mt ex-works for St37 material depending on the order size.

In the import segment, a Bulgarian supplier has dropped its price for September shipments by $10/mt over the same period to $860/mt CFR, while a Romanian mill has preferred to stay at around $860-880/mt CFR for now. The allocation from South Korea has been limited due to maintenance works and offers for October deliveries are closer to $800/mt CFR, while in the past week a deal was signed at $750/mt CFR, as SteelOrbis reported.
