In addition to the rises recorded in the local Turkish hot dip galvanized (HDG) coil market in the previous week, domestic HDG prices in Turkey have increased further during the past week. Market sources state that the upward movement seen in the domestic raw material prices as of last weekend and also the ongoing lively sales of domestic HDG have been pushing up domestic HDG prices.

Accordingly, domestic producers’ HDG prices in the local Turkish market, excluding 18 percent VAT, have started to range at the following levels:

Product

Price ($/mt)

Weekly change ($/mt)

HDG   0.50 mm  100gr/m²

760-800

↑45

HDG   1 mm  100gr/m²

700-765

↑45

HDG   2 mm  100gr/m²

665-680

↑30

Meanwhile, Turkish mills’ HDG export quotations have also increased, rising by $25/mt over the past week to $735-765/mt FOB.
