Over the past month, prices in the local Italian flat steel market have remained stable. Currently, Italian producers' domestic hot rolled coil (HRC) base prices are at around €550/mt ($638/mt) ex-works, while cold rolled coil (CRC) and hot dip galvanized (HDG) prices are between €620/mt ($719/mt) and €640/mt ($742/mt) ex-works. According to market sources, demand is not brilliant but is still adequate, while there is no downward pressure from import offers since they are not particularly attractive.
