According to market sources, Italian producers' domestic flat steel prices have decreased further in the past week. Currently, Italian producers' domestic hot rolled coil (HRC) base prices are mostly at €470-480/mt ex-works, down €7.5/mt on average, while their cold rolled coil (CRC) prices have decreased by €5/mt to €565-570/mt and their hot dip galvanized (HDG) prices have declined by €2.5/mt on average to €565-580/mt ex-works. Meanwhile, demand is still slack due to pressure from import offers and the approach of the Christmas holidays.
