According to market sources, demand in the local UK hot rolled coil (HRC) market is currently at medium levels, though sellers' profit margins are very tight now. Meanwhile, domestic producers' local HRC prices are currently at GBP 345/mt ($535/mt) ex-works for June production.
On the other hand, UK-based traders' offers to their local market for Russian, Chinese and Iranian HRC of S355JR and S275JR grades are in the range of GBP 350-355/mt ($543-550/mt) ex-warehouse and GBP 320-350/mt ($496-543/mt) ex-warehouse , respectively. Meanwhile, UK-based traders' offers to their local market for Russian, Chinese and Iranian 8 mm HRC of the same grades are at GBP 365/mt ($543/mt) ex-warehouse and GBP 350/mt ($566/mt) ex-warehouse, respectively. The prices are for May delivery.
