SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that Russian steel producers are offering hot rolled coil (HRC) to export markets at $555-560/mt FOB for February and March shipments, while ex Russia cold rolled coil (CRC) offers are at $630/mt FOB.
In the meantime, Ukrainian suppliers are offering HRC at $550/mt FOB.
Market sources state that currently the market is stable. However, Asian flat steel suppliers are expected to increase their prices after the Chinese New Year holiday in early February. If this occurs, other markets will have to adjust their prices accordingly.
