According to market sources, demand in the Turkish domestic hot dip galvanized (HDG) coil market, where local prices have followed a stable trend this week, has increased slightly as compared to last week, without registering a significant improvement yet.

In the Turkish domestic market, HDG sales prices are as follows:

Product

Price ($/mt)

HDG   0.50 mm  100gr/m²

790-810

HDG   1 mm  100gr/m²

740-760

HDG   2 mm  100gr/m²

725-730

The above prices, which may differ depending on product quality, are ex-works, exclude VAT, and are for advance payments.

On the other hand, demand for Turkish HDG exports is still weak. However, market sources believe that, in line with the increased demand for other flat steel products, interest in Turkish HDG exports will likely pick up in the target export destinations in the coming days. Meanwhile, September production Turkish HDG export prices have remained unchanged since last week at $775-790/mt FOB.
