SteelOrbis has been informed that demand for import plate in the Turkish market has remained slack this week. Import plate offers to Turkey have decreased by $15-20/mt over the past two weeks, due to the downtrend in global flat steel prices.

According to market sources, Macedonian hot rolled plate offers to Turkey have declined by $15/mt over the past two weeks to the range of $595-600/mt CFR, for September shipment.

On the other hand, Ukrainian shipbuilding plate offers to Turkey have decreased by $20/mt in the same period to $480-490/mt CFR, for October shipment.
