Import HRC prices in Pakistan have remained mainly unchanged over the past two weeks with only several suppliers, from China in particular, decreasing their offers. Meanwhile, most Pakistani customers have preferred to take their time to evaluate current market developments. Besides, business activity has been strongly affected by heavy rainfall across the country.

Accordingly, ex-China SAE1006 HRC offers have settled at around $630/mt CFR, compared to $630-635/mt CFR last week. While no deals have been reported for SAE1006 HRC so far, Chinese traders have managed to sell a few position cargoes for SS400 HRC to Pakistani pipe makers at $600/mt CFR, according to sources.

In the meantime, offers for ex-Taiwan SAE1006 HRC have been voiced at $630/mt CFR, the same as two weeks ago, with a deal for 5,000 mt signed at the abovementioned level this week. Besides, suppliers from South Korea and Japan have kept their offers unchanged over the past two weeks at $630-640/mt CFR for October shipment.
