HRC exports increase in Brazil

Brazil exported 114,300 mt of HRC in August, 61 percent more than in July, at an average FOB price increased by 10 percent to $409/mt.
 
ArcelorMittal exported at an average price of $404/mt, while Gerdau’s average price was $456/mt, both FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in June.
 
The main destinations were the EU (65,000 mt) and Latin America (49,000 mt).
 
The most recent deals for the export of HRC of the basic commercial grades were closed at $420/mt, FOB conditions, stable over two months, a major exporter told SteelOrbis.
