A source from a major exporter told SteelOrbis that hot rolled coil (HRC) is currently trading at $500/mt, FOB conditions, for export from Brazil.

Such price is stable so far in May for HRC’s of the basic commercial grades.

In April, ArcelorMittal exported HRC at $278/mt, CSN at $354/mt and Usiminas at $328/mt, FOB conditions, price deals probably closed in February.
