Brazilian producers remain negotiating HRC for export to non-US destinations at $590/mt, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades, stable over the last two weeks, a local exporter told SteelOrbis.
In April, ArcelorMittal exported 54,800 mt of HRC from Brazil at $510/mt, CSN exported 31,200 mt at $512/mt, and Usiminas exported 1,800 mt at $920/mt, all FOB conditions, with different quality grades and price deals probably closed in February.
Preliminary indications from the Brazilian customs authorities point to an increase, in May, from the 87,800 mt of HRC exported from the country in April.
