Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC for export to South American countries in a price range of $560/mt to $570/mt, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades, the same range as last week, a local exporter told SteelOrbis.

For destinations other than South America the reference price remains at $550/mt, under the same conditions, the source said.

In November, Brazil exported 154,600 mt of HRC, against 99,000 mt in October. ArcelorMittal exported 149,500 mt in average at $559/mt, while Usiminas exported 5,100 mt at $951/mt, both FOB conditions and price deals probably closed in September. The main destinations were Turkey (83,300 mt), South America (36,400 mt) and the Middle East (24,500 mt).
