Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC of the basic commercial grades for export to countries in the south of Europe in a range of $575/mt to $585/mt, against $580/mt to $590/mt last week, CFR conditions, a local market source told SteelOrbis, adding that the reduced price reflects lower FOB prices, as freight rates were roughly stable.

The source mentioned that for exports to the US prices would be $10/mt higher in average.

Preliminary indications from the local customs point to a small reduction in October from the 174,900 mt of HRC exported from Brazil in September.
