Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC exports in a reference price of $550/mt, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades. The price is stable over the last four weeks.
In October, Brazil exported 52,200 mt of HRC, against 23,700 mt in September. CSN was the main exporter (25,800 mt), followed by ArcelorMittal (24,800 mt) and Usiminas (1,600 mt).
The main destinations were Portugal (25,700 mt at $532/mt) and South American countries (24,900 mt at $456/mt), while 1,600 mt at $571/mt was shipped to the Dominican Republic, all FOB conditions and different quality grades.
In the Brazilian domestic market, HRC of the basic commercial grades is offered at BRL 3,882/mt ($715/mt), against BRL 4,026/mt two weeks ago, CFR conditions, no taxes included. The price refers to high and medium sized volumes of the product, when sold directly to large consumers or to distributors.
Meanwhile, Brazil imported in October 250 mt of HRC from South Korea at $658/mt, FOB conditions.
The last offer of HRC received by Brazilian importers from China was priced at $566/mt, against $560/mt two weeks ago. Such price refers to CFR conditions to ports in the Brazilian South or Southeastern coast, having the A36/Q235 grade product as reference.
