The Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC exports in a reference price of $540/mt, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades, against $500/mt two weeks ago.
In August, Brazil exported 41,300 mt of HRC, of which 30,700 mt at $470/mt to Portugal, 8,800 mt at $409/mt to Colombia, 1,200 mt at $415/mt to the Dominican Republic, and 600 mt at $548/mt to Paraguay, all FOB conditions and different quality grades.
The exporters were CSN (31,300 mt at $471/mt) and ArcelorMittal (10,000 mt at $410/mt), both FOB.
In the Brazilian domestic market, HRC of the basic commercial grades is offered at BRL 3,447/mt ($653/mt), against BRL 3,606/mt two weeks ago, CFR conditions, no taxes included. The reduction in BRL reflects chiefly exchange rate variations, as the value in dollars has actually increased from two weeks ago.
The last offer of HRC received by Brazilian importers from China was priced at $578/mt, against $551/mt two weeks ago. Such price refers to CFR conditions to ports in the Brazilian South or Southeastern coast, having the A36/Q235 grade product as reference.
