SteelOrbis has been informed that one domestic producer in Bulgaria has been offering hot rolled plate of 8-25 mm thickness in a price range of €510-550/mt ($661-713/mt) ex-works in the local market; meanwhile, the same producer has been offering HRP for export at the level of around €460/mt ($596/mt) FOB for February shipment.
On the other hand, Ilyich has been offering HRP to Bulgaria at the level of €465/mt ($603/mt) CFR Bulgaria, whereas offers given from DMZ have been standing at €395/mt ($512/mt) CFR Bulgaria, both for February shipment.
For the time being, there is no demand in Bulgaria for the offers given from CIS countries. It may be said that the continuously changing €/$ exchange rate has been influential in this.
