Flat steel demand remains slow in Portugal

SteelOrbis has learned that in the Portuguese flat steel market domestic prices of hot rolled sheet (HRS) are currently standing at €590-600/mt ($779-792/mt) ex-warehouse.

In the meantime, Italian offers to Portugal for March production hot rolled coil (HRC) are standing at the base price level of €540/mt ($713/mt) CFR, while cold rolled coil (CRC) import offers from Italy are at around €620/mt ($818/mt) CFR.
 
In the Portuguese flat steel market, Italian offers for hot dip galvanized (HDG) coil are at the level of €590/mt ($779/mt) CFR, while local producer Lusosider is offering similar material to its domestic market at €620/mt ($818/mt) ex-works.
 
According to market sources, domestic demand is currently slow in the Portuguese flat steel market.
