According to sources close to SteelOrbis, ex-China HRC offers of SAE 1006 grade to Vietnam have decreased consistently since mid-April 2019, when offers were reportedly at $550-555/mt CFR. Price have now reportedly declined to $510-520/mt CFR, down $40/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $35/mt from the top of the same range. The decline in HRC offers from China to Vietnam is reportedly dampening HRC import offers from other destinations to the region such as Russia, India and Japan.
