During the past week, demand in the local European flat steel market has remained strong. Market sources state that the limited import steel sources in the region due to the current antidumping margins have been strengthening the hand of domestic producers, while they expect domestic flat steel prices to increase further in the short term following the rise recorded two weeks ago. Domestic hot rolled coil (HRC) prices in Europe are currently at €550-580/mt ($682-719/mt) ex-works, while domestic cold rolled coil (CRC) quotations in the region are now at €630-660/mt ($781-818/mt) ex-works. Additionally, domestic hot dip galvanized (HDG) coil prices in Europe are at €640-690/mt ($794-856/mt) ex-works.
