Both foreign and local hot rolled coil suppliers to the Turkish market have managed to sustain their prices in the latest deals.

Locally, re-rollers booked medium volumes over the past 10 days at $525-530/mt ex-works and slightly above, SteelOrbis has learned. Current offers are at $535-545/mt ex-works for November deliveries.

In the import segment, according to sources, Metinvest has sold big and small coils this week at $510/mt CFR and $520/mt CFR, respectively, up by a couple of dollars compared to deals last week.

MMK has traded a total of 30,000 mt at $505-515/mt CFR. In addition, according to local sources, around 50,000 mt were sold to the company’s own asset in Turkey. NLMK is reported to have sold 10,000 mt at $520/mt CFR.

Export offers for HRC from Turkey are at $530-535/mt FOB, with not much activity heard in the EU.
