According to market sources, demand in the local pre-painted galvanized (PPGI) coil market in Turkey has remained sluggish during the past week. Currently, Turkish mills' local prices for RAL 9002 0.3 mm 100 gr/m² zinc-coated PPGI are standing at $875-905/mt, while offers for RAL 9002 0.5 mm are at $760-790/mt and prices for RAL 9002 1 mm stand at $695-725/mt, indicating no change compared to last week. All the offers in question are on ex-works basis, exclude 18 percent VAT, and are for April production.

On the other hand, demand for Turkish PPGI exports has increased together with demand for hot dip galvanized (HDG) products. The main reason behind the increase in demand has been the very low stock levels of buyers in the export markets, who have been avoiding concluding deals for PPGI,  as well as for HDG.  Meanwhile, ex-Turkey PPGI offers have remained unchanged week on week in the range of $750-790/mt FOB for April production.
