Demand in the export markets for Turkish pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) offers has remained on the sluggish side this week. Demand for PPGI had improved at the beginning of the second quarter this year, but is still below the anticipated levels, as it was last year.
Turkish mills' local offers for RAL 9002 0.3 mm 100 gr/m² zinc-coated PPGI are standing at $1,015-1,080/mt, while offers for RAL 9002 0.5 mm are at $875-925 /mt and prices for RAL 9002 1 mm stand at $795-845/mt. All the offers in question are on ex-works basis and exclude 18 percent VAT.
In the meantime, ex-Turkey PPGI offers for June production are still at $860-920/mt FOB.
