According to market sources, Turkish hot dip galvanized (HDG) coil prices in both the local market and in the export market have trended sideways over the past week, while demand which had revived a little with the price increase recorded last week is still weak. Market sources state that in both the domestic and export markets demand for Turkish HDG coil is weaker compared to the same period of 2013. However, demand is expected to improve further against the backdrop of the increased prices recorded last week.
In the Turkish domestic market, HDG sales prices are currently as follows:
Product | Price ($/mt) |
HDG 0.50 mm 100gr/m² | 770-790 |
HDG 1 mm 100gr/m² | 720-740 |
HDG 2 mm 100gr/m² | 705-710 |
The above prices, which may differ depending on product quality, are ex-works, exclude VAT, and are for advance payments.
On the other hand, ex-Turkey HDG offers have remained unchanged during the past week at $750-760/mt FOB for November production.
