Taiwanese integrated steel mill China Steel Corporation (CSC) has announced its domestic flats prices for December shipments. The new prices are at the following levels:

Against the background of downtrend seen in the East Asian steel market following the weakened demand and increased supply in the local Chinese market, CSC has decided to decrease its prices by about 4.45 percent on average for December shipment. Thus, compared to the ex-works prices for October/November shipments, the HRC domestic price has been lowered by NTD 1,480/mt ($55/mt), the CRC price has decreased by NTD 1,000/mt ($48/mt), HRP is down by NTD 950/mt ($46/mt), electrical steel (ES) and EGC prices have declined by NTD 1,000/mt ($87/mt), while the price of CGI has decreased by NTD 960/mt ($97/mt).
